Custom Equipment<p>Custom Equipment, LLC&nbsp;is a scissor lift manufacturing company located in Richfield, WI, about 30 miles north of Milwaukee. The company was started in 1981 by Steve and Lynn Kissinger as a small fabrication and welding repair shop. From 1981 to 2003, Custom Equipment made lifts for use in the death care industry. These casket lifts had to be strong enough to lift 1,000 lbs but light enough to not damage mausoleum floors, and so in 2004, Hy-Brid Lifts were born. These unique scissor lifts were launched after the Kissingers saw a need for smaller and lighter work platforms in the construction industry.
